Thank you also to all the hardworking volunteers from the Nelson District Rod & Gun Club lead by AGM Liaison Wally Kampen - without them the event would simply not have been possilble!

Professor Emeritus of Environmental Science, Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary, Geist is a specialist on the biology, behaviour and social dynamics of North American large mammals (elk, moose, bighorn sheep and other ungulates).

Professor Geist is a wildlife artist and champion of ethical hunting. He is the author/editor of 17 books and has written seven documentary films. He has acted as an expert witness in many areas, including animal behaviour, environmental policy, native treaties, wildlife law enforcement and policy and wildlife/vehiclecollision cases in the United States and Canada. Professor Geist has testified on wildlife conservation policy in court and before the Parliamentary Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development in Ottawa.
